At It’s Not Your Birthday But… (INYBB) we are all about connection through creativity. We run arts and writing programmes that are person-centred and bring people together in meaningful ways. INYBB was created in response to seeing increasing social isolation in our local community and recognising the power of arts and heritage to combat it. We do this by connecting and bringing people together through creativity, reducing isolation and improving wellbeing. We act as an antidote to society’s habit of putting labels on groups of people and provide a space for the individuals behind these labels to share what is important or helpful to them through creativity, challenging assumptions and facilitating new partnerships.

Our programme is driven by three aims; connecting people through artist-led workshops and programmes using letters, writing, heritage and visual arts prompts; facilitating a platform for sharing in a range of settings and communities, bringing together people who would not otherwise meet; challenging people to consider whether they can share an experience, through arts or heritage, that may help someone else.
